The word Kvist is Swedish, it means “Twig” or “Small Branch”, it was chosen as a starting point and a space for screenprinter and surface pattern designer Hannah Brown to develop and grow her designs, prints and illustrations.
Hannah has a degree in Graphic Design and an MA in Printmaking (surprise!) from the University Of The Arts, Camberwell. She now lives between London and Leicester and uses collage, screenprinting, risograph printing and digital illustrations to create colourful and playful graphic imagery which she loves to transfer onto various printable surfaces and physical objects. Everything from paper, fabric, record sleeves, shoes, bottles & notebooks. If there is a blank surface she will fill it. Her work explores layering colours and textures made by degrading and manipulating collages. She works between her home studio setup and Leicester Print Workshop.
